Flange surface corrosion at the gasket-flange interface is a well-known problem in seawater and hydrocarbon applications, common in the upstream hydrocarbon processing, power generation and desalination industries.

Flexitallic Corriculite utilizes the unique properties of vermiculite to develop a non-conductive, corrosion-resistant material that addresses the problem of galvanic corrosion often associated with graphite-filled gaskets.

The spiral gasket is a familiar design that delivers reliable sealing performance and excellent resilience. Combined with the Corriculite filling, it creates a highly integer, tight seal that is also fireproof, as certified by the API 6FB test.

Corriculite-filled gaskets are available for both standard pipeline flanges and custom barrel flanges. Gasket configuration and metal material are chosen based on specific application requirements.
